Fire Engineering is a historic B2B publication that has served fire and emergency services professionals worldwide for nearly 140 years. The project focused on modernizing the brand’s digital presence while preserving its authority as a trusted industry resource for training, education, and leadership.

KEY CHALLENGES

The redesign required transitioning from a decade-old website built on a dated CMS while executing a full visual rebrand. A primary goal was creating a more dynamic and visually engaging experience that could better showcase editorial content, photography, and feature stories.

At the same time, the platform needed to maintain and modernize complex advertising inventory, ensuring revenue-driving placements remained effective within the new design system.

Balancing legacy credibility with modern digital expectations was central to the project’s success.
